FAQs
What is a yoga sculpt workout? This is an outdoor, 30-minute workout for any and all skill levels. It’s a hybrid workout that blends traditional vinyasa yoga flows with resistance training (such as squats and lunges), with some cardio elements mixed in too. All you need is a mat and comfortable clothing!
What is the book? Whitney on Whiteface is the debut novel from Rochester-based author Mickey Ross. It’s best described as a beach read set in the Adirondack Mountains, and follows the stories of two women who spend a week together in Lake Placid as different aspects of their lives unravel.
There is a scene in the book where the characters do yoga — which prompted this collaboration between an author and a personal trainer to create an event that brings together women who love personal fitness and reading great books.
What can I expect when I’m there? Plan to arrive a little before 10AM. We’ll get set up and begin the workout once everyone has arrived. Once we’re done getting our sweat on, grab a cup of coffee and get your book signed. Mickey Ross will hang out to sign books and chat about reading, and hopefully you’ll get the chance to meet others who love the same things you do while you’re there!
Where is the event? This event will be held outside at a private residence in Pittsford. Exact location, directions and parking instructions will be disclosed upon registration.
How much does it cost? Registration for A Fresh Chapter costs $30 per person. Registrants can pay via Venmo or cash the day of the event (just let us know in advance!).
Can I bring someone else? Yes, please! Just have them fill out their own RSVP form, or make a note in yours that someone else is coming too. We have a limited number of spots and want to make sure we have enough books/space for everyone who attends?
